CCOH – Home Dental Care Program

Senior man at the dentist

Good dental care is important at any age, but, particularly in your senior years.  Dental care and heart health are very closely connected.  As you age, it is more difficult to get out and about to appointments.  The Home Dental Care Program is an outreach program operated by the Centre for Community Oral Health (CCOH).  It provides a full range of dental services to patients who are unable to or have difficulty visiting a regular clinic.  Faculty dentists and dental hygienists using a mobile van with portable dental equipment, provide care in personal care homes, senior citizens’ residences, hospitals and private homes.  Dental services are offered on a fee-for-services basis.
