n Tuesday, September 30th, the Headingley Seniors Lunch & Learn group were treated to an informative presentation by Terena Hantelman of Aubin Nurseries Ltd. in Carmen. We were given many tips regarding gardening in the autumn: types of bulbs and their planting techniques, types of fertilizers to use on various plants, when to apply them and how to understand the three numbers on fertilizer packages, and the differences between Slow Release and Water Soluble fertilizers.
Other gardening topics were covered in a lively question and answer period. Several people won bulb give-aways.
The 37 attendees present enjoyed lunching on Pizza and cupcakes along with lively conversation with old friends and new acquaintances.
The next Lunch & Learn sessions will be on October 21st and November 18th.
